#ProjectFreeAgency Med's NBA Roster - July 4 Update

Here is the fourth day of #ProjectFreeAgency. A total of 8 signings have been made today, along with a few ratings updates. The arena for the Utah Jazz has also been renamed to Vivint Smart Home Arena.

July 4 (Day 4) Free Agency

With Kevin Durant answering the big question in this year's free agency, the signings have mellowed down a bit with only a few major signings left to be done. One of the bigger ones being Pau Gasol to the San Antonio Spurs. While this may be a sign that Tim Duncan will retire, we will still keep him in the roster for good measure. The new-look New York Knicks appears to finally solve their bench issue with the signing of Brandon Jennings. Andrew Bogut has been traded to Dallas for a future pick, while also signing Zaza Pachulia. We also have a few ratings updates that were included. Players on new teams include Sergio Rodriguez (Philadelphia 76ers), Ramon Sessions & Roy Hibbert (Charlotte Hornets), Brandon Jennings (New York Knicks), Andrew Bogut & Seth Curry (Dallas Mavericks), Pau Gasol (San Antonio Spurs), and Zaza Pachulia (Golden State Warriors).

    July 4 Recap

Utah Jazz Arena Rename

The Utah Jazz Arena was renamed from EnergySolutions Arena to Vivint Smart Home Arena, which was actually used starting from the 2015-2016 NBA season that we completely missed during our 2015-2016 NBA season updates.

#ProjectFreeAgency Notes

If you weren't able to download the July 1 update that was released the before, there was a Follow Up Pack required for it that you're going to need to download if you haven't already. You can always check it out here. If you've already downloaded the July 1 Follow Up Pack from the previous update, you're only required to download the Appdata Files for the July 4 update.

We would like to remind everyone of the notes from the initial v4.0 update. The contracts are not updated, we are waiting for the contracts to be finalized for us to adjust to the in-game salary cap since salary caps cannot be modified in NBA 2K14. The second round NBA Draft rookies do not have guaranteed contracts in the NBA yet so we did not include them in any of the rosters yet until probably close to Opening Day for the NBA. If some signings were not added yet to the update, it most likely means that the missing signing is part of the update for the next day (in this case, July 5). The update is called July 4 update due to the fact that the fourth day of Free Agency in the USA was July 4. NLSC is now back up and running so the NLSC mirror now works.
