Updated Cyberfaces, Roster & Jersey

All PBA teams now have accurate lineups and each player is now assigned their correct jersey number. A lot of PBA players have received cyberface updates since the previous update thanks to Hener2K, ICE2K, and Ronin2K. We updated all of the lineups, including the imports, as well as added Ali Peek to the Free Agent pool for the 2017 rosters. The latest retro jersey sported by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel against the GlobalPort Batang Pier last August 26, 2017 has been added to the roster which has been modernized with World Balance as the sponsor, and the Kia Picanto's warmup jerseys have now been corrected.

Med's NBA Roster v12.1c Released

The latest minor NBA roster update has just been released! The blockbuster trade involving All-Star point guards Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas has been implemented!

August 23 Update

Since the last update, 16 new players are still missing from the roster, a trade sending Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder and Ante Zizic occurred. To make room for this trade, Dahntay Jones and Derrick Williams have been waived from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Since this roster was released only 2 days after our v12.1b minor roster update that had quite a bit of updates, we'll keep the information from the v12.1b update on this post as well.

The real life 2017-2018 NBA schedule has just been implemented in the latest roster! This features an accurate schedule from Opening Day, to Christmas Day to the All-Star Game. Even as far the Preseason schedule has been updated for the roster.

For all jersey modders that are creating jersey mods for everyone to use. Please refer to the following as the new jersey file naming system for the 2017-2018 NBA season:

Association is the home jersey while Icon is the away jersey but the Chicago Bulls have established that their Home jersey will be the red jersey. Let's keep the standard of having the Home jersey the Association (white) jersey while the Away jersey will be the Icon (colored) jersey).

Replace "xxx" with the following official abbreviations from 2K Sports:

For example:

uh18cle [Cleveland Cavaliers' Home Association Jersey]
ua18lal [Los Angeles Lakers' Away Icon Jersey]
ux18gs [Golden State Warriors' Alternate Athlete Jersey]

As for those who are asking for the 2017-2018 Nike jerseys, I do not want to add jerseys one by one. While I do want to wait for Pepis21 to have quality jerseys made by one modder, that will take a long time to make (I suspect by the start of the NBA season), so we are releasing another variant of the roster with the new jersey file naming system implemented.

This new variant of the roster titled "Meds Roster Nike" will have all of the new home and away jerseys assigned to it, with the correct collar types already assigned. This is meant especially for those jersey modders who want to test their mods with a compatible working roster, and meant for those users that like to download individual jersey mods on their own. Obviously, this variant is a roster that is full of blank jerseys assigned to all teams and is considered an "open source" roster for you to collect jersey mods yourself.

Future Updates

In the future, we will be including the 30-team Home & Away jersey pack when it is finished, definitely. All of the new contracts will also be updated and adjusted to match NBA 2K14's salary cap when the new season starts as we still have to wait for all of the numbers to be publicly released. In future updates, we will also be implementing Miguel2K's jump shot animation assignments for our roster.

The latest minor NBA roster update has just been released! All of the latest transactions since August 6 have been implemented, the 2017-2018 NBA schedule has just been updated and a test version of the roster for 2017-2018 Nike jerseys has just been released!

NBA Live 18 Title Screens & Updated Logos for NBA 2K14!

NBA Live 18 revealed their cover athlete, James Harden of the Houston Rockets! With this new inofrmation, we bring you NBA Live 18 Title Screens for both 16 by 9 and 4 by 3 monitors, as well updated logos and scoreboard logos for the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs!

Like the other NBA 2K18 Title Screens for NBA 2K14 that we have released in the past (which you can check out here), James Harden is featured in NBA Live 18's cover. The title screen is available for both 16 by 9 aspect ratio monitors, and 4 by 3 aspect ratio monitors.

New Logos

(Brand New Indiana Pacers & San Antonio Spurs Logos)

The Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs all have new logos for the 2017-2018 NBA season. The Mavs make use of a different set of colors for their logo, while maintaining the exact same logo. The Pacers go for a classic rounded look for their logo while the Spurs get a modernized text logo. These logos are implemented in the 2017-2018 NBA Logos for the NBA Roster, FIBA 2K, PBA 2K, and Kuroko V Slam Dunk feat. Dear Boys' logo packs. The logos are also implemented in the bootup file associated with the title screens in this release. The 2017-2018 NBA Scoreboard Logos for the Default NBA 2K Scoreboard are also updated with the new Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs logos, while also including all of the other NBA teams' logos, completing all of the scoreboard logos for all NBA teams.

FIBA 2K v12.0 & Universal Portrait Project v4.7 Released

The newest FIBA 2K major update has arrived! A new file and download system has been implemented along with a new scoreboard, new Gilas Pilipinas lineup update and a new court.

Updated FIBA Asia Cup 2017 Gilas Pilipinas

The newest lineup for Gilas Pilipinas has just been updated! We also partially updated China by removing Yi Jianlian and Zhou Qi, and adding an existing player from the 2014 World Cup that is participating in the FIBA Asia Cup 2017. We also updated the court for FIBA Asia Cup 2017, which is hosted in Nouhad Nawfal Stadium in Lebanon. This update is quite small for a major update, because we are very shorthanded right now. Hopefully, more international members of the NBA 2K14 modding community will be able to contribute to FIBA 2K's future updates.

New Scoreboard

A new scoreboard similar to our existing scoreboards has been added for FIBA Asia Cup 2017. The files for the 4 by 3 aspect ratio and 16 by 9 aspect ratio that are required for the scoreboards have also been separated in a different folder to make the file size of FIBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards smaller.

Universal Portrait Project v4.7 Update

All PBA players in the upcoming PBA 2K v12.1 update now have portraits in the latest Universal Portrait Project! This includes portrait updates for Gilas Pilipinas members Gabe Norwood, Roger Pogoy and Carl Bryan Cruz!

New Download System

We wanted to make our updates more accessible to those that do not have the internet connection speed to download large files. With that in mind, we segregated all of our Main Directory Files into 100 MB partitions (Main Directory Files 1 to 12). We will continue adding follow up packs for each update until the current pack reaches 100 MB, then we proceed to a new pack.

New Update System

Something I have long wanted to implement in our updates is a label system. Now, we will be separating the updates into three categories: Major Updates, Regular Updates, and Minor Updates.

Major Updates - Major updates are large updates that introduce a new Main Directory Files pack. These include a new Appdata Files and Main Directory Files to be downloaded, and are indicated by a change in the whole number of the version name such as v12.0/v13.0/v14.0, etc.
Regular Updates - Regular updates are medium-sized updates that include a new Appdata Files and Follow Up Pack that is exclusive to that version. This means that there are files needed to be added that aren't large enough to warrant the introduction of a new Main Directory Files pack, but is instead only added to it when it is re-uploaded. Unlike before, Follow Up Packs are no exclusive to the update so now you have to check each blog post for each Follow Up Pack in case you missed any. These are indicated by a change in the decimal number of the version name such as v12.1/v12.2/v12.3, etc.
Minor Updates - Minor updates are small updates that only include updated Appdata Files and no other files that go into the Main Directory. These are usually done when there are small fixes/edits or just some transaction changes that don't require new cyberfaces/jerseys/courts. These updates are indicated by the appearance or change in the letter of the version name such as v12.0b/v12.0c/v12.0d, etc.

Because of the new systems, we will also be re-updating the tutorials and other pages of the website. We will also be working on some improvements for the website so stay tuned for that.

NBA 2K18 Soundtrack for NBA 2K14

Another year, another jukebox update! Retroswald13 shares his new NBA 2K18 jukebox with us and we integrate it into our NBA 2K Vanilla/Presentation Package for NBA 2K14!

NBA 2K18 Jukebox

The jukebox is connected via three files, the english.iff that contains the artist and song title's text information, the album cover file that contains the images for the songs and the jukebox.bin that contains the music files themselves. Because of these, we cannot simply release the jukebox on its own since the english.iff is related to many other files such as the Playstation Buttons, updated headlines, etc. We will also update the headlines to suit the 2017-2018 NBA season when the new season starts.

To be able to download the new jukebox which has been included in both presentation packages, please refer to the download links below. Please copy the english.iff from the Headlines folder, as well as the contents of the Jukebox folder.

NBA Live 18 Icons for NBA 2K14 Released

James Harden is the new cover athlete for the returning NBA Live 18! With that said, we keep our tradition of having NBA video game cover athletes as icons for our game.

NBA 2K14 Icons

James Harden is the second player to be featured in both an NBA 2K and an NBA Live cover. Harden's icons are available in NBA 2K Vanilla, NBA 2K14, Med's NBA 2K14, and NBA Live 18 variants. Both James Harden images from the latest NBA Live promotional image is used, one from The Streets and one from The League.

The newest PBA 2K major update has arrived! A new file and download system has been implemented along with a new scoreboard, new jerseys and transactions.

Updated Jerseys, Roster & Schedule

The newest PBA 2K update has new cyberface updates, roster updates, transactions, ratings, tendencies, accessories, and imports. The Arnold Van Opstal-Von Pessumal trade between the San Miguel Beermen and the GlobalPort Batang Pier has also been implemented. The accurate 2017 PBA Governors' Cup schedule has also been implemented in the latest Regular Schedule rosters for all of the 2016-2017 PBA season rosters. Newer cyberfaces for the imports and the new hairstyles of most players will be updated in an upcoming follow up update. The upcoming follow up update will also feature the latest Gilas Pilipinas lineup for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup. A follow up update will most likely feature the addition of the long-awaited 2012 PBA Commissioner's Cup roster that we have worked on for a long time now. All of the new jerseys for the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup have been implemented.

PBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards must be downloaded for the Kia Picanto's logos to take effect. Since our files are compatible with all of our mods, Kia Picanto's logo has already been implemented in all of our logos (PBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards, FIBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards, Med's 2017-2018 NBA Logos & Kuroko V Slam Dunk Logos).

Med's NBA Roster v12.1 Released

A new download and update system has been implemented, and a new regular update has been released! Some new transactions have been implemented, new players have been added, a former player has retired and two players have decided to play overseas.

August 6 Update

Since the last update, Jason Maxiell joins Retiree Vault 4. Luke Babbitt signs with the Atlanta Hawks, Ramon Sessions joins the New York Knicks, Brandon Ashley returns to Med's NBA Roster with the Dallas Mavericks. Vander Blue and Thomas Bryant both sign with the Los Angeles Lakers and Ian Clark is signed by the New Orleans Pelicans. The Orlando Magic get busy by signing Khem Birch, Wesley Iwundu and Arron Afflalo, while the Brooklyn Nets trade Andrew Nicholson for Allen Crabbe of the Portland Trail Blazers. Terrence Jones and Kevin Seraphin have both been removed from the roster as they have decided to play overseas. There are still 9 new players that do not have cyberfaces that we have yet to add to the roster. Those are as follows: Tyler Cavanaugh (ATL), Jeremy Senglin (BKN), Milton Doyle (BKN), Gian Clavell (DAL), P.J. Dozier (DAL), Derek Willis (DET), Landry Nnoko (DET), Antonius Cleveland (GSW), Melo Trimble (MIN).

With that in mind, we segregated all of our Main Directory Files (1 to 27), into 100 MB partitions (Main Directory Files 1 to 12). Main Directory Files 1 to 26 have all been re-organized and re-packed into 100 MB packs. However, Main Directory Files 27 is now called Main Directory Files 12 since it is also less than 100 MB. We will continue adding follow up packs for each update until the current pack reaches 100 MB, then we proceed to a new pack.

Future Updates

Teams have been unveiling their new jerseys for the 2017-2018 NBA season left and right. We're still finishing our template and ALL of the teams will have new jerseys in our future updates when the new season starts. As of right now, it is too soon to be working on all of the jerseys because there are too many to make all at once. However, it should be worth noting that they are being worked on as we speak.
